Lance "Thadeus Bahamut" Knightshade is the current leader of the Bahamut Bloodline, the current de-facto leader of House Knightshade, Lord Marshal of the Jardian Empire, former Sworn Shield of Jaime Lannister under the puppet title of Lord Vickon Lannister, and former Saelkar of the Wyngerian Empire. Thadeus is one of the last surviving members of the Knightshade family, a notorious clan of assassins that has dwelled for centuries throughout the Continent of Peurotsiil. During his lifetime, Thadeus has brought several houses, empires, kingdoms, rebellions, and sellswords into being. He fought in the first Peurotsiilian War in the Wyngerian Empire and earned respect by his fellow Wyngerian comrades. He established "House Knightshade" in Westeros in hopes to make a name for himself and his family. In addition to leading House Knightshade, he also leads the all-powerful Bahamut Bloodline once located on the Jedi Temple of ILUM in the Star Wars Universe.

Appearance

Canonically, Thadeus is shown to be around 6 feet and 5 inches, muscular, and hunky, even as a preteen and teenager. He has dark-brown hair (often shown as crimson), dark-brown eyes, strong eyebrows, and robust jawline.

During Thadeus's years in Peurotsiil, he wore a snake slate assassin's hoodie over his head (traditional Knightshade attire), which completely covered his hair, a bandana over his lower face, iron shoulder guards, a dark blue cape, and Wyngeria's Saelkar uniform.

The Hound and the Wolf

Comparison of Thadeus's Wolf Knight helmet and Clegane's hound helm.

When Thadeus was situated in the Continent of Westeros, his hair had turned a dark brown. He wore black and spiked shoulder pads, a cape, and a Wolf Knight helmet (resembling Sandor Clegane's hound helmet).

Being a Force Sensitive individual of the Jedi Order, Thadeus wore midnight blue robes and hood, a black face mask, and a black ripped cape. Thadeus created this outfit to shield his identity after being appointed a convict by the King of King's Landing. This outfit would later become the standard Bahamut attire.

After his return to Westeros, he grew his beard out, and his hair was given a blonde tinge in order to change his identity once again. When defending Jaime Lannister he wears generic Lannister soldier attire with aiguillettes as well as a red cape with a fur collar, a golden knight's helmet with a crimson mohawk, and golden pauldrons.

His later and current attire in the Lion's Vigor and the Jardian Empire is a recolored variant of the original Bahamut attire (red and gold) custom made by Tywin Lannister. This outfit would later by worn by other members of Bahamut royalty.

Personality

Described with a desolate state of mind, Thadeus is a fierce, doubtful warrior with a largely grim perspective on the world. This is due to withstanding floods of torment and large numbers of betrayals since his childhood, with lows in his life, even during his most noteworthy times. These betrayals, along with the tense feeling of loss, led to a life of low spirits, depression, and frequent suicidal thoughts. At times he would feel unmotivated to fight in wars, consort with others, or do anything at all, and he's very stubborn at sometimes.

Despite being prudent and guarded, he has a side to him that's more warmhearted and complacent around those he deeply trusts, seeming less cold and aloof, while continuing to maintain his dry attitude. Even as darkness continues to smolder within him, he holds on to his tenderness and sympathy, refusing to entirely give up his goodwill.

As an adept leader, Thadeus refuses to serve under anybody, unless it's someone he's greatly fond for. A lion's share of his loyalty goes towards his Knightshade/Bahamut Bloodline, most notably his brother Joseph, who he's looked up to the most out of all of his siblings.

Adding to his aloofness, Thadeus is a silent and unobtrusive individual, generally content with asserting himself in small phrases. He rarely ever loses his cool, and is capable of maintaining his dignity in even the most calamitous circumstances. Though there are times when he reveals to be occasionally anxious whenever anything unpredictable happens, Thadeus almost never loses control of himself nor his prestige.

Abilities

Thadeus possesses basic Knightshade powers and potentials.

While Thadeus is not necessarily invulnerable, he is the most sturdy member of the Knightshades, as he can withstand weak sword blades and powers due to his preventive steel and obsidian armor and other forces, physical or mystical.

Known Fusions (UNCANON)

  • Underneath his clothing, Thadeus wears an amulet of a crimson jewel given to him by Shuji. The crimson amulet gifted him with the almighty ability to fuse with any living entity also bearing a jewel amulet. Some known fusions are:

Capabilities

  • Greatsword Expertise: Thadeus can summon a greatsword with full determination. He is exceedingly competent with the greatsword and is exceptionally experienced in combat at close quarters. He can dispense a great load of destruction lashes and inflict rapid strikes at rapid speeds. This particular greatsword was originally manufactured as a broadsword, but its blade was extended and hardened by Thadeus himself during the "Knightshade's Sellswords" era.
  • Thadeus also utilizes a Crossguard Saber, Backhand Saber, Single Saber, Dual-Blade Saber, and Double-Bladed Saber (most commonly used). He blends Ataru's agile and acrobatic mechanics with the defensive mechanics of Soresu and Vapaad's aggressive style. He is capable of defeating most of his opponents, with almost zero exceptions.
  • Thadeus can psychically manipulate light, a basic ability that most of the Knightshades possess.
  • Being an adept Force Sensitive, Thadeus has gained mastery over a majority of the abilities of the Force, including Force Lightning, Force Push, Force Choke, Force Telekinesis, and Force Grab.
  • Thadeus has created "Bahamut Style," an aggressive Bahamut fighting style currently used by Thadeus himself and Vincent Bahamut.

Relationships

Reflet Azura Knightshade

Like Billy, Reflet thinks highly of Thadeus's guidance over the Knightshades. Despite not being a specialist in any sort of physical combat, Reflet will make any sacrifice necessary to safeguard his father. Thadeus takes a large disliking towards Reflet's decision making and fears, addressing him as a coward and faint-of-heart. Thadeus has tried perilously to get his son back into the arts of sword fighting but all attempts were ineffectual. Reflet could become easily-exasperated from Thadeus's distasteful jokes, which could lead to fights between the two. After constant desires to reunite with his biological family, Reflet Azura left Westeros to return to his kingdom in Ximodo. Thadeus viewed Reflet's leave as a sign of betrayal to the Knightshade family and has held a grudge on Reflet ever since.

Atticus Knightshade

Atticus looks up to Lance as an idol and values his every abilities and vitality. He would slaughter his victims to the best of his ability in hopes to impress his father. Lance could be highly critical of Atticus's swordsmanship in battle, and would often poke jokes at him for that reason, leading to outrageous fights and disputes between the two. While the two may not bear the strongest relationship, Lance views Atticus's aggressive combat style as a reliability if he is ever in a pinch in battle.

Vincent Bahamut

Vincent also idolizes Lance's lightsaber expertise and leadership, and would even try to imitate Lance's fighting style (graceful and aggressive flips and jumps). While Thadeus hates to admit it, Vincent's rapid and aggressive fighting tactics serve as a great asset to the Bahamut Bloodline during wars.

Thadeus and Vincent share a love-hate-relationship. Despite tending to one another, Vincent often falls victim to Thadeus's devious antics, and the two would turn the heat on one another sometimes. They would often get into disputes, which would inevitably result in the two avoiding one another for countless days or even weeks.

In contrast, Vincent and his father additionally have a mutualistic bond. Vincent is the richest of the sons, considering that he's profited off of constructing several gray temples for many bloodlines across the SWU. Thadeus relies upon Vincent's profit while in return, Vincent values his father's unparalleled strength.

Molarus Knightshade

Due to being separated from his second-born son for nearly 11 years, Thadeus was initially unable to build a strong father-son bond with him.

The two met during Molarus's draft from the Hirsdenian to Wyngerian Army. At first, Thadeus was dubious about this new recruit, finding something oddly familiar about his physique. But it didn't take him long to eventually realize that Molarus was without a doubt his biological son.

Molarus started off a foolish, naive, and frantic child, whose actions oftentimes irritated his father to death. Despite this, he admired his father's prowess as a leader, even calling him "boss" at times. He was often looked down on by his father for being a weak, heavily-defensive fighter and occasionally showing fear during wars, since his father believed that cowardly kind of behavior would ruin his bloodline's reputation.

Molarus's demeanor slowly began to shift as he spent more time alongside his father. The two would spend countless of years fighting wars and make it out with three or four painful wounds. Never before had Molarus ever experienced that much bloodshed in his life. He also lived through Thadeus's most depressive state, hearing suicide threats almost daily. As Thadeus's perspective on life started to become more grim, so did Molarus's. Molarus's former innocence and irrationality was now turned to dust. As time passed on Molarus became more self-aware and disgraceful about his own weaknesses. Thadeus no longer had room to care, as he had his own emotions to cope with. Molarus would soon develop a compassionate side, supporting and softening up with his father during his rough times. Thadeus would later look to his son as a source of moral support, and the two would develop a more brotherly bond.

History

Born inside of Wyngeria and orphaned at an age to early to remember his parents, Thadeus was forced to steal and fight to survive on the streets.  Thadeus eventually was caught stealing from Lefryn Grazenhood, a prominent member of Wyngeria.  Seeing the potential Thadeus held, Lefryn took him under his wing and began to teach Thadeus, grooming him for the future, Lefryn molded Thadeus into a fighter and hard worker.  At fourteen Thadeus saw his first conflict within Wyngeria, under the employment of Lefryn he saw Wyngeria become fractured in two as Lefryn began a rebellion against the corrupt emperor and princess slimberacc.  These days are when Thadeus got his first taste and love for combat and military life, he fought hard to attain the respect of Lefryn and even harder to fight for a Wyngeria free of corruption.  Lefryn brought allies into the fold of the rebellion upon being imprisoned, Kythor and Maecion Cruzek, who rallied armies to Lefryn's aid and marched on Wyngeria.  The Slimberaccs were rooted out from their home and exiled from Wyngeria.  Unbeknownst to most, Thadeus stole the Slimberacc heirloom bow, and keeps it to this day somewhere in Wyngeria.   Upon the corruption being uprooted Lefryn was appointed Saelkar of Wyngeria, and passed it on to Kythor, whom with the help of Maecion Cruzek revived Wyngerian culture and kept the land free of corruption.  Thadeus, inspired by Wyngerias free state proceeded to work his way through the ranks, climbing as high as he could as quickly as he could.  In Six months after the rebellion he had managed to place himself among the highest of ranks, Maecion passed the crown on to Valgan Stonepick, a man who was more fool than Leader.  He lead Wyngeria into the dirt, and proceeded to cause strife amonst Jardia and Wyngeria which lead to a war, and a slimberacc rebellion.  Thadeus, on the recieving end of dying and warred empire began to revive from ashes.

Thadeus was up against a rebellion on one side with much larger numbers than his own, and a war with jardia on the other.  Having spent time in Jardia during his coming up in the ranks of Wyngeria, he went to work fixing the broken relationships.  Thadeus also set about recruiting a new generation of Wyngerian soldiers, spending day and night scouring for troops for his cause.  Thadeus' fighting force was no match to the Wyngerian rebellion of veterans and countless soldiers, but despite being doomed from the start it didn't stop him.  He fought on until the end, until he and every last of his wyngerians could no longer stand against the tide of rebellion.  Thadeus Fled the continent with his now adopted children in tow, leading them away to another land to recooperate and regain himself and his time.  Thadeus spent years wandering continents, meeting countless people and taking many under his wing, he lead and fought hundreds of battles and wars searching for something, anything.  He dedicated himself endlessly in the name of the sword for a time and created an empire of his own in a distant realm.  He rose an empire against countless threats and odds, always underhanded and always out numbered, he created the Bahamuts, true warriors who fought with such rage and ferocity the likes of which that had never been seen before.  They created countless enemies and conquered them all, standing at the top of a mountain of corpses to claim their rightful places as the Kings of Dragons.  A few years have come since then and now Bahamut is but a shadow of it's former self, it's warriors still hardened and determined to fight wherever their emperor goes, they dedicate themselves endlessly to the one they call Master.
